Vulnerable beginnings: Immunity and Diseases in Preterm Infants

by Assist. Prof. Dr. Anca Lavinia Cianga

Preterm infants: They might be tiny but their fight is mighty. Being born before 37 weeks of pregnancy presents unique challenges for babies, as their underdeveloped organs and immune systems leave them vulnerable to various health issues. From respiratory infections to gastrointestinal complications, these tiny fighters face significant risks in their early days.

Join us on Wednesday, 27th of November, at 18:30 as we explore the most common diseases affecting preterm infants, their impact on development, and the critical challenges of immunity that these resilient babies strive to overcome.
