The Role of Doctor-Patient Communication in Preventing and Handling Malpractice Complaints

by Prof. Dr. Beatrice Gabriela Ioan

Research has shown that the risk of a malpractice complaint is most directly predicted by the patient’s dissatisfaction with the doctor’s ability to communicate effectively – not by the patient’s characteristics, the complexity of the disease, or even the doctor’s knowledge and practical skills.

So what is effective communication?

Join us for this training to develop your soft skills, which are just as important as technical skills.

Osteoporosis: The Journey From Rock Solid to Eggshell

by Dr. Osama Mahmoud Odat

Osteoporosis, also known as the „silent thief,” is a bone pathology that weakens the bones, causing them to become fragile and increasing the risk of fractures. This disease can go undetected for several years.

1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men will suffer from an osteoporotic fracture throughout their lifetime.

Bone health is an important topic that shouldn’t be overlooked. In 2020 alone, the number of hip fractures tripled due to the lack of attention towards this matter.
