  • USA and Switzerland have always been some of the most popular destinations for aspiring doctors. The process of residency admission might be difficult, however, our speakers are here to teach us everything about it.
  • Dr. Hassan Tahir Khokhar is an Internal Medicine doctor practicing in Florida USA, while Dr. Valentina Basile is currently practicing Psychiatry in Tessin, the Italian-speaking side of Switzerland, and both are more than happy to share their experience with us.

Basic Techniques in Vaginal Delivery

  • Vaginal delivery is the most common method of childbirth and typically involves three stages: labor, delivery of the baby, and delivery of the placenta.
  • Practical knowledge in this area ensures that expectant mothers receive appropriate care and support during childbirth, reducing the risk of complications for both mother and baby. Additionally, adequate techniques in this area enables healthcare professionals to respond effectively in emergency situations, potentially saving lives.
  • Join us on Saturday, 20th of April to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in this field!

Basic Skills in General Surgery: Intestinal Occlusions

  • Intestinal occlusions, also known as intestinal obstructions, occur when there is a blockage in the intestines that prevents the normal flow of food, fluid, and gas. This blockage can occur in the small intestine or the large intestine (colon) and can be caused by various factors such as: adhesions, hernias, tumors, intussusception or volvulus. Prompt medical attention is necessary to diagnose and treat intestinal obstructions, as they can lead to serious complications such as tissue damage, perforation, and infection if left untreated.
  • Join us on Tuesday, 16th of April, to simulate the repair of this condition on animal models. You will gain both the theoretical and the practical knowledge needed to carry out a surgical repair on bowel obstructions.

  • A radiant smile begins with good oral health. Instilling proper dental care habits in children is essential for ensuring lasting dental wellness. Regular brushing, flossing, and mouthwashing are fundamental for maintaining a healthy smile, and mastering these simple steps is pivotal. Let’s empower the next generation with the skills to achieve optimal dental hygiene!
  • EMSA Iasi team is looking for a few dental medicine students with a good proficiency in Romanian language, available for one or two days between 22-24 April.
  • The purpose is to deliver a presentation for the elementary school students (grades 7-8) regarding basic dental hygiene, but also other topics deemed to be relevant.
