HUMANITARIAN ACTION FOR THE HOMELESS

We invite you to join our EMSA IASI team in this effort by donating new and gently used items that will help keep individuals warm, healthy, and cared for during the cold season.
We are collecting the following donations:
•Winter clothing (coats, jackets, scarves, gloves, hats, socks)
•Blankets and sleeping bags
•Non-perishable food items (canned goods, dried foods, snacks)
•Hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizers)
•Female sanitary products (pads, tampons)
•Thermal clothing and undergarments
•Monetary donations for hot meals and essential supplies.

(UMF-main building, Right Wing, First Floor, Room A2-1-3)

Transabdominal Ultrasound: POC-US abdominal examination

A transabdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that is used to visualize organs within the abdominal cavity, such as the liver, kidneys, and bladder, and it plays a crucial role in diagnosing various conditions like gallstones, tumors, and cysts. Point-of-care ultrasound (POC-US) is a quick bedside tool used to assess the abdomen in real-time, often in emergency settings. This essential and hard to master tool will be deemed necessary to everyone’s clinical practice, so join our workshop to start mastering this key skill!

Join us on Thursday, 10th of October to gain both theoretical and practical aptitudes on this important procedure

ONLINE TRAINING | «How to Conduct Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis From A to Z» EMSA Iasi × NMRA UK

Research is paramount for the progression of science, yet it is not consistently emphasized in medical university curricula. Developing essential research skills is critical for future healthcare providers as it prepares them to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and improve patient care.
EMSA Iasi, in collaboration with the National Medical Research Association UK, brought you the opportunity to learn how to perform systematic reviews and meta-analyses from scratch.
By the end of this training, our participants were able to:
1. Develop clear and precise research questions.
2. Write effective research protocols.
3. Design comprehensive search strategies.
4. Use appropriate screening methods and risk of bias assessment techniques.
5. Extract and synthesize data, perform meta-analyses, interpret results, and write comprehensive research papers ready for publication.

  • The ABC rule is one of the first principles taught in medical school, as it is of vital importance for saving a life! When it comes to “B”: Breathing, we have advanced our progress in handling it, utilising new techniques and equipment, making the process of reviving and stabilising the patient’s ventilation, more effective.
 
 
  • Join us on Wednesday, 24th of April, for a case presentation section, on times when Non-Invasive Ventilation saved the day, followed by a hands-on practice module, where you’ll be familiarised with different equipments and learn to apply them. Certainly a must-not-miss!
