From Murmurs to Motion: Cardiology Workshop

Cardiac auscultation is the practice of listening to heart sounds to assess cardiac function and detect abnormalities, such as murmurs and arrhythmias. This hands-on session will boost your clinical confidence, refine your diagnostic abilities, and prepare you for patient interactions.

Join us on Monday, 11th of November at 18:00 to learn an essential skill for accurate and efficient patient assessment.

Stigmas in Psychiatric Treatment

Stigma in Psychiatric treatment is a major barrier, leading to fear, shame, misinformation and underdiagnosed patients. It often stems from negative stereotypes, media misrepresentation, and a lack of mental health education, that leads us to believe common phrases like „there is no depression, you are too sensitive“. Reducing stigma and discrimination requires public education, advocacy, and integrating mental illness into general health services to normalize it as part of routine care.

Dr Schiopu will help us understand the root causes and ways to deal with the stigmas in a conference this Thursday 7th of November at 18:30 in Amphitheater Negel.

Join us in this conference to contribute in creating a safe, sympathetic and supportive environment for people to seek treatment!

Stitches and Local Flaps

An ECG (Electrocardiogram) is a medical test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. It records the timing and strength of heartbeats, helping doctors diagnose heart conditions like arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and other cardiac issues.

Though ECGs are a vital skill to master for any future doctor, they can be overwhelming and confusing for students.

Dr Ceasovschih will help us understand and walk us through the basics of ECG interpretation, in an engaging and interactive workshop this Saturday 26th of October, at 11 am.

Important Notice:

1. In order to reserve your spot, you must fill in the Google Form.
2. The number of participants is limited. The selection will be done on a first-come-first-served basis.
3. Deadline to apply: 24th October at 20:00.
